Beware Of Another Gospel

Galatians 1
6. I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7. Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

2 Corinthians
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

5 For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

7 Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?

8 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.

9 And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.

10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.

11 Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth.

12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

2 Timothy 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.

10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Timothy 4
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Colossians 2
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.

20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;

22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

Proverbs 14 12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

1. A cult is a religious belief and practice view centered in false doctrine; it is an organized (heresy) see book (cone’s chosen opinion

2. A particular system of religious worship especially with reference to its rities and ceremonies. This applies to all of the dominations of the so-called Christian churches today.

The marks of a cult - and how you can know one when you see one

1.) Deify Man: Say that man may become god; man needs only to progress (with the cult’s help) to become like God. Gen: 3: 1-13 Isaiah 14: 9-19 (the very same sin of satan), 2 Thess 2: 3-4

2.) Humanize God: Deny that God is one eternally. Deny the Trinity. There are many gods, and redefine God to a man’s image. Romans 1: 21-25 Isaiah 43: 10-11 44: 6-8 Psalm 90: 2

3.) Minimize Sin: Instead of man’s very nature being separated from God, sin is only specific acts that through good works can be perfected. Hell is redefined. Romans 3: 23, John 1: 8-10, Gal 3: 10, Rev 20: 14-15

4.) Ostracize The Scriptures The will additional scripture and claim that there is error in God’s Word. Continual change of scripture. Luke 21: 23, Rev 22: 18-19, Isaiah 40:8, Acts 17: 11

5.) A Different Jesus Jesus Is not God the Son, but rather a son of God; a prophet; a created god; our elder brother. Isaiah 9: 6-7, John : 1-14, Col 1: 15-20, 2: 9-10, Hebrews 1: 1-12

6.) A Different Salvation Deny salvation by grace, by the shed blood of Jesus on the cross. Must have works plus a system by the cult. Eph 2: 8-10, Gal 3: 1-26, 1 Peter 2: 24

7.) A Different Sprit The Holy Sprit is changed into a “ force” or impersonal entity. Not God the Sprit. Spritism is generally rampant. -Visits from familiar sprits conetfite miracles, etc. 1 Timothy 4:1, Deut 18: 9-14, John 14:17

8.) A modern day prophet Founded by a man, followed others, who claim to be God’s one true spokesman on earth. Accountable to no one but God. Give revelation and scripture. Jeremiah 23, Matthew 24:24, Hebrews 1:1-2, Deut 13: 1-10, 18: 20-22

9.) The Only True Church Their group is the only true way to perfection. The word “truth” used over and over. Unless you follow their organization, you are lost. Deny the spiritual union of believers. Col 1:18, Eph 1: 22-23, Romans 12: 1-8

10.) Secrets – Closed To The Outside Secret rituals, temples, doctrines. Finances not public. No communion with others in Christian body. All others are outsiders. No one knows certain “ truths” as they (and their prophet) do. Persecution complex.

11.) Can Not Leave Always testing your loyalty. Obedience is primary. Leaders have power – are your intermediary, not Jesus. Only way to leave is by excommunications, threats. Cut off. Spiritual bondage. Fear, Guilt.
